Forward-looking employee shop from Wanzl and Micromarket24
The challenge
Franke was looking for a modern, uncomplicated solution that makes the day-to-day working life of around 100 employees easier and could be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure. The aim was to provide contemporary catering that combines quality, convenience, and cost-effectiveness, independent of traditional cafeteria hours.
The solution
A customized mini-market was created in close cooperation with Wanzl and Micromarket24. It fits into an existing alcove without requiring any modifications, saving space, and offering maximum utility. The variety and quality of the range of products on offer is impressive: whether hot microwave meals, sandwiches, refreshing drinks, or coffee. Purchases are easy using contactless card payment. “Our employees really appreciate the hot food options and flexible access, regardless of their shift or break times,” explains Dieter Kinzel, Head of Facility Management and Occupational Health and Safety at Franke.
Strong partnership for the future
The project initiates closer collaboration between Wanzl and Micromarket24: Wanzl is responsible for the planning and implementation of the market concept, including the required hardware, and Micromarket24 enhances this offering with comprehensive services – extending to complete operational management. The focus is on ease of use, high product availability, reduced operating costs, and data-driven optimization. Modern technologies such as AI-powered camera systems are used to ensure safety and enable demand-oriented replenishment in real time. For customers, this creates real added value: an end-to-end solution from a single source based on the one-stop-shop principle, with subsequent operator option.
