Pioneering employee shop from Wanzl and Micromarket24
The challenge
Franke was looking for a modern, hassle-free solution that would make day-to-day life at work easier for its 100 or so employees and could be seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure. The goal was to provide contemporary catering that wasn’t tied to traditional canteen hours and that combined quality, convenience and cost-effectiveness.
The solution
A bespoke mini-market was created in close cooperation with Wanzl and Micromarket24. To save space, it has been built into an existing niche without the need for renovations and offers maximum benefit. The offer impresses with its variety and quality: From hot microwavable meals, snacks and sandwiches to refreshing drinks or coffee. Purchases are made simply by contactless card payment. “Our employees particularly appreciate the hot food and flexible access, regardless of shift times or traditional break periods,” explains Dieter Kinzel, Head of Facility Management and Occupational Health and Safety at Franke.
A strong partnership for the future
The project marks the start of closer cooperation between Wanzl and Micromarket24: Wanzl is responsible for planning and implementing the store concept, including the required hardware, while Micromarket24 expands this offer with comprehensive services – right up to the complete management of operations. The focus is on user-friendliness, high goods availability, reduced operating costs and data-driven optimisation. Modern technologies such as AI-powered camera systems are used to ensure safety and facilitate demand-oriented replenishment in real time. This creates genuine added value for customers: an end-to-end solution from a single source based on the one-stop-shop principle with the option of subsequent operations management.
