The swivel arms can be freely rotated when there is no active power supply. When mains power is restored, the swivel arms automatically return to their basic position.

Safe and fast

The robust toughened safety glass swivel arms open and close in seconds to enable high passenger throughput in the passenger traffic control system. Passengers simply have to scan their printed ticket or their digital boarding pass on their smartphone at our self-boarding gate. The stored data is compared in the shortest possible time and the access authorisation is checked. If everything is in order, the toughened safety glass swivel arms open immediately and the passenger can enter the next area. If the boarding pass is invalid, access is denied. The passenger is then requested directly via the integrated information display to contact the available personnel for further verification.

Controlled access

Boarding pass reader with information display and printer Boarding passes are read by the integrated barcode reader (no contact). RFID readers can also be integrated on request for special approvals. In the event of a last-minute seat change by the airline, the passenger receives a notification on the information display. The integrated printer then issues a new valid pass for the new seat.

Monitoring of the passage area

When not in use, the glass arms are generally closed. If there are still people in the exit section of the gate, the swivel doors remain closed.

Barrier tapes

If departure gates are not going to be used for a while, the boarding gate can also be cordoned off manually using barrier tape.

Wanzl Access Manager

Our web application includes a clearly arranged dashboard that shows the current operational status of the gates. All incidents (e.g. access denials, number of openings, etc.) can also be tracked and evaluated.
