New photo walls for DM drugstores

With its completely redesigned photo service walls, dm-drogerie markt is setting new standards for success and once again demonstrating its excellent customer orientation. The roll-out of the new photo walls commenced in February 2012, with development by Munich architects Lay and with design implementation and production by Wanzl.

The photo walls, which Wanzl will have installed in approx. 1000 dm stores between then and November, provide customers with a highly functional "workspace". The self-explanatory image processing system on the integrated terminals is mere child's play. Thanks to the ease of use and to the generous proportions of the room division, the dm customers can select and edit their photos in peace, without curious looks from other customers. The finished articles can be taken home in a huge variety of formats, from a classic photo to a greetings card or photo book, for example.

However, it is not just for end customers that the photo walls represent a quantum leap in progress. The design from the Lay firm of architects reinforces the brand's quality standard. The modularity of furniture that forms part of the Wanzl design gives the pharmacy chain investment security. As and where required, the furniture can be extended or removed on-site with ease. This means that dm is ready to react to the needs of its customers.

The furniture also meets the highest of demands in terms of sustainability. Wanzl sources all its supplier products from manufacturers within the German and Austrian markets with whom the shopfitting company has existing partnerships that already span years. Thanks to Wanzl's own production line, which it set up during the 8-week lead time, it is ensured that the furniture is produced to a uniform quality standard – and dm's customer orientation is clear to see in their stores.
