Key Responsibilities
- The Head of Supply Chain will take accountability for the Procurement Strategy, establishing robust Procurement Plans with the team, providing hands-on management to mentor, coach and up-skill the function.
- Be accountable for the development of strategic procurement & category plans within your team, ensuring robust engagement with cross functional stakeholders with output fully aligned to business goals.
- Global sourcing (multi-sourcing and strategic sourcing) to identify global and local partners for long- and short-term agreements.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Management activities across your categories ensuring suppliers are continually assessed and developed to meet changing business/customer demand.
- Develop a supplier performance management framework and fostering commercial culture within the team.
- Define KPI's to measure success and develop actions to drive delivery, with an ability to communicate progress across various levels of the organisation.
- Ensure that risks within the supply chain network are managed and build a resilient supply network through our relationships, working alongside the Operations Director.
- Create a solid demand planning process, incorporating seasonality, production capacity constraints, inventory management inc. safety stocks, historical trends, and future forecasts, seek to continuously improve this process.
- Monitor forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing waste reducing strategies and developing supply chain management procedures.
- Development and execution of the business supply chain strategy: reducing complexity, improving international and European supplier bases, delivering cost savings, and end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Develop, negotiate, and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of business requirements.
- Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements and minimise obsolescence with the use of ERP/MRP systems available.
Experience
- Significant experience of a similar role working on a strategic and tactical level within the retail sector.
- Must have a strong understanding of MRP / ERP systems and processes.
- Significant experience monitoring, measuring, and reporting on adherence to SLA, Customer KPI’s, and Customer Satisfaction, multiple short duration projects roll outs and knowledge in other areas of retail.
- To have substantial contact agreement and negotiation skills within a varied supply chain.
- To have experience of preparing/implementing organisation wide procurement strategies/policies, to include where applicable, Service Level Agreements, and effectively managing supplier performance and supplier development.
- Experience in design and execution of a supply chain strategy involving offshore supply form Asia and Europe.

- Strong commercial competence in Strategic Procurement / Sourcing
- Proven change management experience
- Proven experience establishing a Procurement Service with Procurement Strategies and Plans to drive advantages and savings for goods & services.
- Degree educated and MCIPS.
- A Competent user of Microsoft office packages – must have the capability to analyse and present complicated sets of data with the use of Excel.
- Strong engagement behaviours to drive high performing team principles and effective collaboration/influence with multiple stakeholders and partners across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience establishing and leading a high performing.

- Strong commercial skills related to contractual risk and supply resilience.
