32nd Avenue Market (ES)

Global inspiration for urban design

Innovative, modern, new – on his quest for trends and unconventional concepts, the owner drew inspiration from his travels around the world. Wanzl's design experts then helped him implement his ideas. The result is a
unique shopping world in the principality of Andorra in the Pyrenees mountains.
The exterior alone makes you want more. Perfectly embedded in the exquisite marble façade of the building, the name of the store is emblazoned on a dark wooden plank above the extra-wide entrance in large white letters.

Black ceilings and floors as well as the exposed ventilation pipes create a striking background atmosphere which allows the products illuminated by many individual spotlights to come to the fore all the more strikingly. The vegetable section in particular stands out with its lively display in which the colourful lettering "VERDURA" (vegetables) is consistently integrated. A modern, green speech bubble points to the free WiFi available in the shop. The 400 m2 sales area of the store is perfectly utilised. There is even enough space left for an eye-catching presentation of goods with the use of wooden baskets. In the refrigerated section, customers are given some tongue-in-cheek encouragement to purchase merchandise. The Catalan words "MENJA MENYS" (eat less) are written above the refrigerated shelves, and the word "less" is crossed out in red.

Graffiti emphasises the urban feel of the store. Whether typical style writing or 3D floor art – the buyer constantly experiences new scenes. The wine and sparkling wine section is exposed. A large refrigerator with exquisite bottles is enthroned on a wooden platform. It is surrounded by more good wines presented in matt black vino tech systems. Elegant wood and metal combinations are the general design specifications for most presentation systems,
including the BakeOff.

In the confectionery and dry goods section things become playful. The graffiti on the columns is just as colourful as the packaging of the various products. On the floor, a grid of numbered rectangles invites the visitor to a spontaneous game of hopscotch. Numbered baskets draw attention to themselves above the wire tech on the walls and two spotlights are mounted on a wooden strip above the shelves inside the shop – a beautiful reflection of the entrance design.
