Swabian service for South Korea

Luggage transport trolleys at Incheon airport

From 2013, Wanzl is to deliver 6,000 luggage transport trolleys to Incheon International Airport in South Korea. The airport has received the accolade "World's Best Airport" for its service quality seven times in a row. Wanzl has already carried out a major order for Hong Kong International Airport this year.

Service from Swabia is in demand at airports all over the world: luggage transport trolleys from Wanzl get luggage moving and they ensure that transporting your baggage is a comfortable and convenient process. Passengers will also be able to enjoy the first-class service provided with Wanzl products at Incheon International Airport from next year. It was in October 2012 that Wanzl received the major order for the delivery of a total of 6000 stainless-steel luggage transport trolleys to South Korea's largest airport, located around 30 miles west of the capital city of Seoul. From the start of 2013, Wanzl will be delivering the trolleys to South Korea in several batches.

The trolleys have been completely redesigned in line with the customer's requirements and they stand out thanks to their outstanding stability and comfortable operation. Equipped with these features, the Wanzl trolleys will help the South Korean Airport to further expand its global service leadership. In 2011, the airport association the Airports Council International (ACI) honoured Incheon International Airport for its service quality last year ranking it the "Best Airport in the World" with first place in the "Airport Service Quality Awards". This was based on survey questions asked to passengers at over 220 airports around the world. It was the seventh time in a row that the South Korean airport had won this prize. The Wanzl trolleys being delivered in 2013 will be used by as many as 34 million passengers a year or thereabouts as Incheon International Airport is a hub for both air traffic and air freight in East Asia. Around 80 airlines serve 182 destinations from Incheon.

Right at the start of 2012, Wanzl won another major order from Asia: 5,200 aluminium-design luggage transport trolleys were delivered to Hong Kong international airport in three batches. All the trolleys were manufactured at the Wanzl plants in Leipheim and Kirchheim. The trolleys for the South Korean airport will also be sourced from quality Swabian products. Gottfried Wanzl, managing partner of Wanzl, expressed his satisfaction with the development of the Airport area of the business: "Wanzl is a world-leading provider of luggage transport trolleys. Around the world, more than 300 airports put their trust in the product quality and service of Wanzl. We want to build further on this leading position."
