Piotr i Paweł supermarket (PL)

The new Piotr i Paweł supermarket at the Poznań City Center shopping centre

In 1990, Eleonora Woś and her two sons Piotr and Paweł opened their first supermarket in Poznań.

Twelve months later Magdalena Banach, sister of the two young entrepreneurs and today the CEO of Piotri i Paweł Plus, joined the family business. Rafał Banach, Vice CEO of Piotr i Paweł Plus and husband of Magdalena Banach, identifies the strengths of Piotr i Paweł: "The customer comes first. This is why we feel an obligation to meet exceptional standards, which do not automatically mean high prices. Anyone can shop at Piotr i Paweł – not just those with fat wallets." Their son Michał Banach has been working at the family company since autumn 2013 and is responsible for Marketing and Advertising. The fourth Piotr i Paweł supermarket of the Piotr i Paweł Plus Group has recently opened at the Poznań City Center shopping centre, next to the central train station.

The new supermarket has a typical Piotr i Paweł design and features the wire tech shopfitting system from Wanzl.

"13 years ago we decided to experiment a little and equip our stores with Wanzl shelves in elegant graphite," says Rafał Banach.

The darker colour scheme was a hit with customers, and has since gradually been replacing the previously white interiors in the other supermarkets of the Piotr i Paweł Group.
With its limitless range of shapes, the elegant wire tech system lends the supermarket space and atmosphere. The visual appearance of the transparent, sophisticated and flat wire shelves is very subtle, thus shifting the central focus of attention to the products and boosting sales. The products are always perfectly illuminated thanks to the low shading. "When designing and equipping the new supermarket, we relied almost entirely on products from Wanzl. Only the refrigerated display counters and wooden end units of the shelving are from different companies," Magdalena Banach confirms. What is the reason behind the trust in Wanzl products? "It is the result of our good experiences," the CEO explains. "Both the shelving and the shopping trolleys are of an outstanding quality. The first Wanzl furniture that we purchased in 2001, which was for the Piotr i Paweł supermarket in Zamenhofa street, has proven to be extremely durable." The countless satisfied customers who visit the new Piotr & Paweł supermarket at the Poznań City Center shopping centre every day are proof that Wanzl continues to be the right choice.

FUNCTIONAL AND STYLISH: Wanzl shopping trolleys ensure greater convenience for customers.

"Retailers who invest in their shopfitting should have a focus on increasing revenue and profits. The main aim should not be to minimise investment costs."
