| Identifying shopping trolleys using RFID offers a range of advantages to asset management, ECR and service/maintenance. A self-service store's trolley inventory can be determined just as easily as the current number of trolleys in the store or in the trolley shelters, for example. |
By positioning stationary read antennae in the sales area, the length of time that customers stay in particular areas of the store can be calculated on the basis of path studies, and routing and product placement can be optimised. All services, such as cleaning, inspection and exchange of parts can be calculated for each trolley.
